Moonraking Lantern Finale


Starting and finishing on Carr Lane in the centre of Slaithwaite
Saturday 16 Feb starting at 6pm.

FREE to all, but if you have any spare change, please put it in one of our collection buckets.

The BIG event of the Festival.
Come to Slaithwaite and join in with Moonraking, Yorkshire’s premier community lantern extravaganza.
Carr Lane will be closed to traffic as it comes alive with street music.
Many of the local shops and business will be staying open and joining in the fun.
At 6pm the lanterns begin to gather, with the Finale starting at 6.30pm.

The lantern procession will make its around the village under Crimble viaduct, along Hill Top and down Bank Gate back to the canal for the spectacular Festival finale and fireworks.
Watch out for the special Window Lanterns in the upstairs windows of houses along the route.
