Had a wonderful night in Slaithwaite watching and photographing the Moonraking Ceremony with the wife, friends and kids. A truly wonderful community celebration with music, drama and much humour. Some fine fish and chips too!

Well done everyone on the committee and the fine folk of Slaithwaite.

Dear Mr Moon

Just back from the Moonraking festival earlier this evening (my first, despite living in Slaithwaite since 2003), and I'm bowled over by the event . Absolutely fantastic!

I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone involved.

I would be keen to help out in some way for the next event, if possible/sensible. I do web stuff mainly, so might be able to help by sponsoring the event website or something like that?

I wish that Mr Moon could take all the credit, but it was the result of a great team working many hours for the last two years, and loads of extra helpers on the night. Thanks to everyone.
