Moonraking Radio

Colne Valley Radio @ Moonraking

This year we will be running a pilot radio station during the festival in co-operation with East Leeds FM

If you want to get into radio, this could be a good place to start.

After the festival, the idea will be developed to provide a wider scheme covering the whole Colne Valley. Reporters will be out and about in the valley during February preparing stories and interviews that will be broadcast online over the weekend of the 20th, 21st and 22nd February.

When the page opens, just click the speaker under the Festival article.

Other broadcasts may be made - more news nearer the time.

A highlight of the three days will be a live broadcast from the finale of Moonraking when the centre of Slaithwaite comes alive with the annual lantern procession. This will be recorded and be available on the Sunday.

A link to the broadcasts will be available on this page on the day.

We will be running four workshops lasting 2 hours each where interested people can develop their ideas and skills to take part in the broadcasts.
These are all at the library in Britannia Road, on the following dates:

Thursday 22nd January at 5.00pm.

Saturday 29th January at 10.30 am.

Thursday 7th February at 5.00pm.

To register for a session, use the contact form and include your name, contact details and the word "Radio"
