Not just another curry house!
The Monsoon Tandoori Restaurant in Britannia Road, Slaithwaite has certainly proved itself to be in a league of its own when it comes to delicious Bangladeshi cuisine.
Opened in 2000, the restaurant regularly plays host to diners from as far afield as Halifax, Bradford, Leeds and Oldham, as well as satisfying the tastebuds of its more local customers.
The restaurant serves contemporary Bangladeshi and Indian food, featuring many vegetarian and seafood dishes. Bangladeshi cuisine is a speciality of the restaurant and dishes are cooked to perfection with fine spices and plenty of coriander.
Favourites include King Prawn Shatkora, with its special citrus tones and the aromatic Lamb Zaal.
When it is party time, the Monsoon can cater for your group in the secluded upstairs room which has its own bar. Just ask a member of staff for details of the special banquet meals.
The Monsoon is proud to be part of the Slaithwaite community and this is shown through its support for local schools, sports clubs and charities. The staff are renowned for their friendliness and hospitality and the establishment was recently awarded the coveted Kirklees Five Star Award for good practice.
